Auteur Theory - Sam Brown
Auteurism was created by Francis Tuffaurt in 1954.
Auteurism refers to the Auteur (French work for Author) and the idea is that the filming in the music video should reflect the directors vision for the video, thus making he/she an Auteur.

Dan chose to analyse Sam Brown
Sam Brown is a director that the label of an auteur could be applied. He has a very clear style in his videos which really define him. The artist is always the focus of the video and he often has them performing in abstract locations with often random objects involved in the set.
